Captain David Lear's BIO

David Lear was born in the United Kingdom. His family was very poor. His father was a miner for natural resources and his mother was a failed artist. At the age of 7 his parents were seen as unfit and David was taken from them. He was in child servces for two years and sent over to the states. At the age of 9 a home took him in, The Howards. The father was a writer and the mother was a starfleet Lieutenant Commander. She was the tacitcal officer on board a Oberth Class the USS Sweeden. He was rasied in San Fransico and he loved it. He often went onboard the Sweeden. His mother asked her CO if he could go on a routine patrol. Captain Meium allowed him to. He was able to observe a starship in operation. He also learned what a starship for a specfic purpose can do. He was fascinated and the CO even allowed David to sit at the science station and scan annomlies. After returning that is all David talked about is the expierence he had on the Sweeden. He went threw high school wanting to apply. He went to apply and the academy accepted him. He studied flight operations and science. He graduated and was sent to a remote research facility and loved every minute of it. After two years there Ensgin Lear was sent to the USS Prestige a miranda class vessel. He learned the style of life aboard ship and loved it. He was able to make the sensors 15% more accurate. During this tour his CO made him a LTJG and he was transferred to the USS Sweeden. At this point his mother was the CO. He was the junior science officer. They had a great working relationship. The ship was attacked and the bridge was smashed. It had to be recongiured Captain Lear was injuried and the XO was killed. LTJG Lear was able to get the ship out and to a starbase for repairs. For his brave action the fleet admiral promoted LTJG to full LT. Captian Lear was happy about that and she requested him still as her science officer. LT Lear was head of the science department. The ship explorded more phenionian. After another two years the ship was conducting an expierament with her warp engines. Starfleet was trying to get the Oberth class to warp 8.5 The attempt failed engeering had massive fires. The Chief Engineer was killed along with most the engeering staff. The warp drive was shot to pieces. The bridge was damged and this time it killed Captian Lear. The XO and LT Lear managed to get the warp drive under control. The impulse engines were recoverable and the rest of the crew pulled together. The ship was able to get to a starbase and she was decommisioned. LT Lear was in a mental depresstion. He was sent on mental leave for her death. After that he was sent to the Vulcan Science academy after completing this he was promoted to LCDR. He was sent to the starbase 59 for the science divistion and he lead the science department. He stuided parllel universes and time travel. He did extensive research on the subjects. For three years that is what he did. He was promoted to CDR and transfered to the Excelsior Class USS Texas. He had a vast oppurtunity of sensors at his finger tips. He found more wormholes that he can guess at and the reaserach was incredable. CDR David Lear published a book on his founding. He was asked to take the bridge on several occastions. He enjoyed the bridge environment a great deal. After two years he wantted to command a ship of his own. His CO put him in for a command. He went to command school and promoted to the rank of Captain. He wantted command of the USS Einstien a Oberth class vessel. He wantted it to remember his mother.
